The Institute is a non-profit organization governed by a board of directors. We welcome the participation of volunteers.  In solidarity with scholars and religious leaders around the world, we are committed to seeking out and celebrating spiritual life and growth in its many manifestations around the world. In solidarity with humanity we seek to raise awareness of issues related to globalization, poverty, and environmental degradation that from our common humanity, we might together participate in healing each other and our world.

Our Mission

We are committed to:

e    Providing graduate level interdisciplinary theological education in a global context to students registered in degree programs in Canadian seminaries;

e Offering continuing education courses focusing on theological reflection and encounter in an ecumenical global context to religious leaders (lay and ordained) and adult learners interested in spiritual practices and global justice;

e Building relationships and connections between theological institutions, scholars, and students in Canada and the transitional world by organizing faculty exchanges between partner institutions and developing bursary funding for students from transitional countries to participate in similar theological courses in Canada.
