"Spirituality & Global Awareness:
India" February 2008
February was a very full month for the participants, faculty and leaders of the Institute's first course offering. Highlights of our time in India include: meeting with Christian women and men and with Muslim women and children in Nagpur slums, running a week long craft program for dalit children in Mysore, visit to rural villages and schools, visits to places of historical significance, introduction to efforts at inculturation within Roman Catholic communities, introduction to Hindu beliefs and worship, visits to Gandhi ashram, discussions on development efforts, globalization, human rights and faith.
