FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Spirituality & Global Awareness: India2008-2009 courses now open for registration! Institute for International Theological Education offers unique opportunity for religious leaders, (lay and ordained) to reflect theologically upon the contemporary global situation and upon our relationships with God, our neighbors, creation, and ourselves. We will spend two weekends together gaining a basic understanding of the history and religions of India and familiarity with the contemplative practices of mindfulness meditation and tonglin. We then spend a month together traveling through central and southern India, meeting with partners and exploring the impact of colonization and globalization on the developing world and how we might participate in creating environments of justice and compassion at home and around the world. Each course is limited to twelve students. This small group learning experience is open to those who are people friendly, curious about our world and the people in it, and who are hungry for spiritual growth.2008-2009 Courses offered out of Winnipeg Manitoba, Ottawa Ontario and Peterborough Ontario For More Information Contact: |
